Elise van der Linden (1983)
Elise van der Linden maakt sculpturen, installaties, foto’s en animatiefilms. Haar kunstwerken zijn architectonisch en landeschappelijk van aard. Ze zijn een reflectie op de leefwereld van de mens waarin altijd een verhouding zichtbaar is tussen door mensenhanden gevormde werelden enerzijds en natuurlijke processen die een eigen dynamiek hebben, anderzijds. De eeuwige zoektocht van de mens naar een balans tussen het kunstmatige en het natuurlijke, het najagen en het loslaten, het verstand en het gevoel komen in het werk tot uiting in beelden waarin groei, transformatie en vergankelijkheid centraal staan.

Elise van der Linden makes sculptures, installations, photographs and animated films. Her artworks are architectural and rural in nature. They are a reflection on the human world in which there is always a relationship between worlds formed by human hands on the one hand and natural processes that have their own dynamics on the other. Man’s eternal search for a balance between the artificial and the natural, the pursuit and the letting go, the intellect and the feeling are expressed in the images in which growth, transformation and transience are central.
